Since joining Alphabet in 2021, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Google’s approach to high-risk insider matters that involve regulatory scrutiny, as well as other emerging risks across Alphabet globally. 

Before joining Alphabet, Melanie held leadership roles across various industries including global corporations, air transportation, the U.S. federal government, and highly sought-after law firms. Notable past experiences include Walmart, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she served as a trusted advisor to senior executives, offering guidance on complex legal and regulatory landscapes.
