Before joining Alphabet, Melanie held leadership roles across various industries including global corporations, air transportation, the U.S. federal government, and highly sought-after law firms. Notable past experiences include Walmart, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she served as a trusted advisor to senior executives, offering guidance on complex legal and regulatory landscapes.
